Ichabod Twilight American Strong
Ichabod Twilight (7.1 abv) is an American strong ale, named for an American patriot. Ichabod Twilight was a free Black man from Warner, NH who volunteered to serve in the Second New Hampshire Regiment of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. After the war, he moved with his wife to Vermont. Their son, Alexander, would become the first African-American graduate of Middlebury College. We named this beer in honor of Ichabod. (We figured Samuel Adams should not be the only patriot with a beer named after him.) Profits from this beer go to the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire.
