Read MoreMiss Elsa’s (4.2 abv) is named for Miss Elsa Atwood Griffin, who keeps watch over our taproom. We found her photo in the attic of this old Griffin Road farmhouse. She was born and raised right here, and became a head nurse at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. We think Miss Elsa had about seen it all, and we think she would have approved of a tart beer containing the good-for-what-ails-ya properties of native elderberries. (Fun fact: We also discovered that Miss Elsa and Lois had ancestors who came to this country on the same boat…a rickety wooden thing called The Mayflower.)
